Overview
We are seeking a seasoned and commercially astute Senior Consultant – Institutional Property Assets to lead the origination, advisory, and execution of high-value commercial real estate transactions for institutional clients, including family offices, funds, sovereign entities, and ultra-high-net-worth individuals. This is a client-facing, high-impact role requiring deep sector knowledge, strong financial acumen, and a track record of closing complex, off-market or structured real estate deals. The successful candidate will play a critical role in sourcing assets, advising clients on acquisition strategy, structuring transactions, and managing relationships with stakeholders across the property investment lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Client Advisory & Relationship Management
  • Act as a trusted advisor to institutional investors, family offices, and fund managers on acquisition and disposal strategies.
  • Build and maintain high-level relationships with key decision-makers across real estate funds, private equity firms, and global investors.
  • Lead client presentations, pitchbooks, asset briefs, and investor reports to support strategic recommendations.
Deal Origination & Execution
  • Identify and secure mandates for commercial and mixed-use property assets, including off-market opportunities.
  • Lead transaction execution from origination to completion, including negotiation, due diligence, and deal structuring.
  • Work alongside legal, tax, and financial advisors to structure acquisitions or divestments in a compliant and tax-efficient manner.
  • Support and advise on capital stack optimisation, financing, and development options where relevant.
Market Intelligence & Asset Analysis
  • Provide in-depth analysis of market trends, yield data, investment performance, and risk profiles across asset classes (e.g., office, retail, hospitality, industrial, healthcare, and alternatives).
  • Evaluate potential acquisitions using discounted cash flow models, IRR analysis, and sensitivity modelling.
  • Advise clients on geographic diversification, ESG considerations, and macroeconomic implications for property strategies.
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Mentor junior consultants and analysts within the team, supporting their development and overseeing deliverables.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing, research, and legal teams to enhance firm visibility and client offerings.
  • Represent the company at investor events, industry conferences, and professional networking forums.
Requirements
Essential:
  • Minimum 7+ years' experience in commercial property investment, real estate advisory, or institutional asset consultancy.
  • Demonstrable track record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing high-value real estate transactions (£30m–£500m+).
  • Deep understanding of investment-grade assets and institutional buyer mandates.
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, with a strategic advisory mindset.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Desirable:
  • RICS, CFA, MRICS, or other relevant qualification.
  • Experience with off-market transactions, sale-leasebacks, or repositioning strategies.
  • International deal experience (UK, EMEA, or global exposure preferred).
  • Understanding of prop-tech platforms, CRM systems, and data-driven investor targeting.
